Profile
I was born in England and raised on a love of languages and grammar. After travelling, working in the health food industry and studying anthropology, the romance languages and linguistics, I became an ESL instructor for many years. Editing and proofreading seemed the next logical step to fulfill my career path. I am conscientious, astute and meticulous. I love the challenge of editing on any topic, creating a concise sentence and making a text error free.
Areas of expertise
I have an extensive background in academic editing and particularly enjoy working on essays written by non-native English speakers. I am proficient at referencing in APA, MLA and CMS and will use British or American spelling, dependent on my clients’ needs. I have recently branched out into editing and proofreading magazines, newsletters, brochures and travel guides, all of which have proved to be successful and enjoyable ventures.
